    Girls Bathroom Part 2

Hello again! Today we continue on the girls bathroom reno! For the next part of the bathroom budget remodel, I focused on the flooring and mirror. If you remember from my previous post, this is what we started with. Disclaimer: In order to continually bring you the best DIYs I can, I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post at no cost to you! Thanks for being here supporting Big Brick Beauty! It may be hard to see in that photo but the tile has an almost salmon pink hue to it! Super outdated. And we had a typical builder-grade frameless mirror. It lacked style and character.…

    Master Bedroom

The master bedroom. It’s supposed to be a calm, tranquil place where you sit back and relax. Kick your feet up after a long days work. But our space. Definitely not tranquil. Or welcoming. Or calming. This is how the previous owner set up the room. Notice the bed against the window? We have beautiful (almost) floor to ceiling windows that span (almost) the entire length of that wall! I wanted to capitalize on them and take in all the natural light we could! So we placed our bed on the other wall. However, even with some new furniture placement we knew the room needed something. It was seriously lacking.…

    Girls Hall Wall

This was one of our first small projects and it is definitely one of my favorite ones! Our girls have a hallway that connects both rooms so I wanted to do something special. We started with a boring blank wall! I used my silhouette Cameo 3 to cut a vinyl decal that said “In these moments, time stood still…” Then purchased the clocks at Christmas Tree Shops and set them to the time the girls were born. To complete this project, I purchased these BEAUTIFUL framed photos from Smallwoods. The quality of these frames is astounding and at such reasonable prices! I love walking by this wall everyday now!

    Girls Bathroom Part 1

My eldest daughter came to me asking for a bathroom makeover! She stated that she was “bored” of Elsa and wanted something “new like maybe a rainbow?” Although we did not go with a rainbow theme, we did decide it was time to upgrade the outdated builder grade bathroom! This is what we started with! Disclaimer: In order to continually bring you the best DIYs I can, I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post at no cost to you! Thanks for being here supporting Big Brick Beauty! Ouch. White vanity with yellowed, stained solid marble countertop and brushed nickle pulls and faucet. Frameless dated mirror. Cheap…

    Kitchen Island Makeover

When we first moved into our home our kitchen had been recently updated. The old owners moved the refrigerator to open up the dining area and add some open shelving. They also opted for new white with grey flake quartz counter-tops and a large single basin stainless steel sink with matching brushed nickel faucet and cabinet pulls. However, brushed nickel isn’t really our style. These were the cabinet pulls when we moved in. And these are the cabinet pulls I immediately changed them to. So much better! I love the large pulls for the drawers and round knobs for the cabinet pulls together! But we were still left with this…

    Our First Post!

Welcome! Thanks for joining me here for my first ever blog post! I decided I wanted to start a blog to keep a journal of our home and archive the fun stuff we have done so far and all the amazing plans we have for the future! Over the next few weeks, I will be posting individual tours of each room in our home! But you’ve gotta have something to compare to right?! So, I figure the first post needs to be an introduction to the BIG BRICK BEAUTY and explanation as to how we ended up here! My husband and I met in high school. After graduating and joining…
