Hallway Update
A while ago, I posted the girls’ hall wall. It was one of the first spaces I did here, and it was a dedication to my babies. But a lot has changed since I did that wall. Sometimes, DIYs have to be updated to accommodate a new style, room, or even a new family member! We recently added a new little bundle of joy to our family! Our beautiful little girl, Whalen, came into the world in November of 2022. So our hall wall needed an update. This was the hallway after I made it over the first time. These are my 2 beautiful babies, and each clock has the…

Sweet Neutral Nursery Reno for a Sweet Baby Girl
When I found out we were expecting ANOTHER little girl, I immediately started planning the nursery! I knew I wanted something calming and serene. Somewhere I could go and snuggle this sweet baby and be able to just relax and feel cozy. After doing my little girls room in pink I knew I didn’t want another pink room but I did want to add a touch of something girly. I ended up with a neutral baby girls nursery with greige walls, a sage green accent wall, and pops of pink for a feminine feel. I started the room makeover by creating a fresh slate and removed everything from the room…

We Created a Linen Closet Out of Nothing!
Let me start out by saying we have ZERO linen closets in our home. Zero. Zippo. Zilcho. Nada. None! In the whole house! Upstairs or down in the basement. None. This was one of the things that irked me most in our home. Where do you put the towels and sheets and blankets!? Well most of it ended up in our closet. And for the girls bathroom we shoved them under the vanity. Was it the ideal situation? No. Did the towels get soaking wet when we had a random leak from the sink drain? You betcha! But we made it work. We didn’t have a choice. And one day…

Quick and Inexpensive Dining Room Makeover Phase 1
When we first looked at our home I really loved our dining room. It is separate from the living space which created an intimate space for family meals. It already had a chair rail, beautiful crown molding, and picture perfect *almost* floor to ceiling windows and I knew a quick and inexpensive dining room makeover was all it needed to be perfect for us! Here’s the canvas we had to work with One of the very first things I did when we moved was change the light fixure to this beauty. And I loved it! It worked for a while. But slowly I got bored with the room. It still…

How to DIY Drop Cloth Curtains
Yes. You read that right! Drop. Cloth. Curtains! If you’ve never seen them before you may be thinking of a plastic drop cloth covering the wall; maybe looking like an episode of Dexter. But I’m talking about the fabric kind of drop cloth! The ones that almost look a bit burlap-ish! I hung drop cloth curtains in our dining room and was a super inexpensive beautiful solution for privacy and design! Check them out! Disclaimer: In order to continually bring you the best DIYs I can, I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post at no cost to you! Our Dog Inspired Master Bedroom Makeover
We finally took a much needed leap in our master! Now, I’d love to say it’s because I’m spontaneous like that or because I just love making content or even because it was the next project on the to do list (and everyone knows how much I like checking things off my to do list). This master bedroom makeover was so lovingly inspired by our pup! This handsome fella is Beast! He is a sweet 2 year old Great Pyrenees and he was the daddy to our last litter of puppies! He is normally a sweet well-behaved little boy who is silly and playful but calm and well mannered. Until…

Using Curb Appeal to Update Our Big Beautiful Brick Home
The second I pulled up to our home I thought this is not the house for me! One-story. I wanted two. Brick. I hated brick. There was no curb appeal for me! When I took a second look there were some things I loved. The tree-lined driveway gave lots of privacy. I always wanted a side entry garage. A large front porch with beautiful large steps to decorate with pumpkins in the fall. I caught myself dreaming before we even walked inside. What this house could be. Keyword – COULD. However, the exterior needed work. One of the shutters had fallen off. There was no landscaping with the exception of…

One Year in and We’re Not Stopping
We are finally here. This is a post that I have been looking forward to for a very very long time! We have OFFICALLY been in our home for 1 whole year! We moved into this house just 5 short days before Christmas with no time to decorate. I could not wait to decorate for Christmas this year! Over the past year we have accomplished so much. I am so proud of all of the progress we have made. This house is feeling more and more like a home with each project completion. So without further ado, I give you a side by side comparison of what our house looks…

Front Door Makeover
Recently, we painted the front of our brick house white. You can check out how that went here. **Spoiler Alert** It went amazing! I am so in love! However there is one part that I’m not as in love with. The porch. It all just blends. The white house, with the white columns, and the white door was just too much for me and I needed something to visually break up the white. So I focused on what would be the most dramatic, budget friendly option: the front door. So here it is. Our front door in all its dated glory. The white and gold combination was just not visually…
