Basement Wall Demo Part 3
Here we are! Back at it again! We finally finished removing the 2 main non-loadbearing walls! If you missed the first 2 installments you can check Part 1 out here and Part 2 out here. Laundry Room Reno
I finally tackled our laundry room!! This room has given me grief since we moved in. I’ve always wanted a huge pinterest worthy laundry room! I had crazy dreams that included a large mudroom space and doggy shower. And when we moved into this home I knew I was not going to attain those dreams here. Where Will Our Guests Sleep!?
We finally took on the task of renovating the basement! And with company coming in one week we needed a guest room in a hurry. Thank you 2 day delivery!! We ordered a queen sized bed off wayfair and set it up! Next, we got the mattress in from Walmart. Then we were gifted this cute dresser and a sewing cabinet from some AMAZING friends! Front Door Makeover

Painting Our Brick House Part 2
We’ve continued painting the exterior of our home and it has definitely been an adventure. It’s been just over 2 months since we painted the front and everytime we had plans to continue something would come up or we’d get a weekend of nonstop rain. So this weekend, armed with a forecast of low humidity, low temperatures, and clear skys we tackled the next large wall! This is the next largest exterior wall, it is a full 2 story wall with the door to the basement. It took a day for my husband to paint the wall top to bottom with our Wagner Flexio paint sprayer. Basement Wall Demo Part 2
We’ve made some more progress on the basement wall demo! This is the wall we had our sights set on next. We grabbed the hammer and started swinging away and before we knew it this is what we were left with! Slowly but surely we are getting there! The next big task for this room? Clean up. Once we get all the debris out of the room the non-load bearing walls can come down. Then we will have to get a contractor to come out and install an LVL beam for the wall that is bearing the load! Yesterday, I posted the ceiling progress we made on the basement! And today I’d like to show you how far we got on the walls in just 1 short day working only at nap time! I am so happy with the progress and can not wait till the whole wall is gone and we have the open floor plan basement weve been looking for!

Basement Ceiling Demo
It has officially begun! Today was Day 1 of basement ceiling demolition and I must say in pretty pleased with the progress! This is where our basement started! We began removing the panels and here is how far we got during nap time. Just by removing the ugly office panels we gained about a foot in ceiling space(except for the duct work) and even found an additional air vent that was apparently blowing air into the ceiling! We’ve got some really cool plans for the space but we can’t reveal them just yet! Stay tuned!

We built a pig pen!
The other day, I posted about our fence that we built ourselves! Today I’d like to show you the pig pen that came immediately after! Once we had the whole fence up and both gates were secured we moved on to the pig pen. We went with 2 large pens that are 16′ x 16′ each. We put a gate on each pen and a gate between the 2. The goal here was to give Wilbur(our potbelly pig) the whole space for now with the option to add another pig later on and be able to separate and slowly introduce them to make sure everyone gets along!
