Basement Wall Demo Part 2
We’ve made some more progress on the basement wall demo! This is the wall we had our sights set on next. We grabbed the hammer and started swinging away and before we knew it this is what we were left with! Slowly but surely we are getting there! The next big task for this room? Clean up. Once we get all the debris out of the room the non-load bearing walls can come down. Then we will have to get a contractor to come out and install an LVL beam for the wall that is bearing the load! Girls Bathroom Part 3
Back again with the girls bathroom! We are finally in the home stretch. The next thing I focused on was the subway tile backsplash. For the back portion of the tiling I used a tile mat. To use a tile mat you simply remove the paper backing and place it on the wall. Then remove the paper on the front and stick the tiles directly on the mat. Then you grout and your project is complete. For the side wall I went with a more traditional mortar process then grouted when cured. Hello again! Today we continue on the girls bathroom reno! For the next part of the bathroom budget remodel, I focused on the flooring and mirror. If you remember from my previous post, this is what we started with.
